Meet the author of the Diet Solution Plan
Isabel De Los Rios created the Diet Solution Plan and continues to update it with insightful contributions both on her blog, and through email.
Although cute and petite, now, Isabel spent many lonely years during junior high and high school due to her embarrassment about being 30 lbs. overweight. She couldn’t wear cute clothes like her skinnier friends.
Isabel didn’t feel at all comfortable in a swimsuit, so she missed out on many fun activities during the summers.
On top of her feelings of embarrassment about being so heavy at such a tiny size, Isabel lived under the constant fear of contracting Type II diabetes. During her teen years, she took care of her mother and grandmother…both who had this debilitating disease due to their diets. It frightened her beyond belief when her own doctor informed her that she, too, was doomed to this type of experience since her eating habits were the same as theirs.
She began college at Rutgers University in Pre-Med, with a goal of becoming a physician to help diabetics, pre-diabetics, and people who needed to lose weight to become more healthy. However, in her passion to be a helping force for others with weight issues, she found herself becoming more drawn to nutrition and exercise. She followed her heart and graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology. The seeds to creating the Diet Solution Plan had been planted.
The Diet Solution Plan began to form when Isabel realized she had a talent for research and the ability to put complicated-sounding scientific findings into words that the rest of us could understand. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, the highest and most advanced certification given by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Conclusions about the Diet Solution Plan
The Diet Solution Plan works for those that follow Isabel’s simple eating principles. Two of the benefits I like most about the Diet Solution Plan are the emphasis put on getting sugar foods and starchy processed foods completely out of your present diet. Isabel terms these foods, Enemy #1 and Enemy #2. Two other points that I liked about the Diet Solution Plan were Isabel’s views on drinking more water to accelerate fat loss, and getting better rest. Many authors of women’s weight loss courses do not cover these important topics that can greatly benefit women in their weight loss goals.
The one thing I did find missing in the Diet Solution Plan was an exercise program. Isabel is a firm believer in strength-building workouts and interval training, and promotes them briefly in her Diet Solution Plan book, but sticks mainly to the nutritional strategies for losing belly fat and thigh fat.
